📰 News we're reading
• New Suffield Middle School Plan Heads To Meeting (patch.com) — Suffield residents are being urged to weigh in on a proposed $128.8 million middle school project that includes three new athletic fields and a community center on the existing campus. Town boards will hold a joint meeting Oct. 15 at Suffield Middle School to review the preferred new-construction plan, costs, and timelines ahead of a targeted spring 2027 referendum. Officials say aging systems, accessibility gaps, and outdated learning spaces make a major investment unavoidable.
