2 Charged In Killingworth Bank Robbery: US Attorney
Two men have been charged in both a Killingworth bank robbery and an attempted robbery in Branford, according to the U.S. Attorney's office.

KILLINGWORTH, CT — The U.S. Attorney Office District of Connecticut announced Friday that a federal grand jury returned an indictment charging two New Jersey men with bank robbery offenses. Both alleged incidents occurred on Jan. 27, according to a release.
According to the indictment, 38-year-old Lavon Young and 25-year-old David C. Earl, both of Union City, New Jersey, were charged with robbing a TD Bank branch on Route 81 in Killingworth of approximately $9,754. The accused men had allegedly attempted to rob a Key Bank branch in Branford before the Killingworth incident occurred.
Young and Earl were arrested in East Haven on Jan. 27 and were subsequently charged with multiple state offenses. They have been detained since their arrests.

The indictment charges Young and Earl with one count of attempted bank robbery and one count of bank robbery.
This matter is being investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Connecticut State Police, Branford Police Department and East Haven Police Department.
