3 People Seriously Injured In Haddam Crash: State Police
The accident remains under investigation. One person was flown to a local hospital via LifeStar helicopter.

HADDAM, CT — Four people were injured, including three seriously, in a multi-vehicle crash in Haddam this weekend on Route 81 or also known as Killingworth Road, State Police said Monday.
State Police said a car driven by James Mauro, 35, of Vernon Road in Enfield, was traveling southbound on Route 81 and another vehicle driven by Davi M. Dasilva, 23, of Massachusetts was traveling northbound in the same area. As Dasilva was trying to navigate an "S-Curve," he lost control of his vehicle, State Police said.
The vehicle began to skid sideways and crossed the double yellow line that separates the northbound and southbound travel lanes, State Police said. Dasilva's vehicle then entered the southbound travel lane in Mauro's path of travel, and the front end of vehicle one collided with Dasilva's car, State Police said.
