Attorney Busher Completes Ninth Year as Adjunct Instructor at UConn Law School

Local attorney completes ninth year of teaching at UConn Law School

Attorney Joseph M. Busher has completed his ninth year of teaching as an Adjunct Instructor at the University Of Connecticut Law School, located in Hartford, Connecticut.

The class focuses on teaching law students researching, writing and oral advocacy techniques. After reviewing written materials and after in-class instruction and demonstrations on these topics, students present multiple oral arguments before panels of judges who pose a wide range of questions on the argument topic. The students then are then presented with their final problem for the term. The remainder of the term is spent preparing a written appellate brief taking one side on the legal dispute set forth in the problem. The term concludes with each student presenting a 15 minute oral argument before a panel of three practicing judges or attorneys who serve as moot court judges.

This year’s final problem focuses on a tort claim adapted from the characters of the television series Breaking Bad.
