Board of Education Passes Vote to Extend Day Care Services

A vote was passed at a recent Region 17 Board of Education meeting to extend services of the Haddam-Killingwoth Cubs Child Care Center beyond RSD17 employees.

The center is now open to the following groups:

• Children of Haddam and Killingworth municipal employees
• Children of H-K volunteer fire & ambulance employees
• Children of teachers living in H-K but teaching in other school districts

Kelly Pedersen, Director of the center, says that the center will remain open year-round to accommodate the childcare needs of the additional groups. The center is open weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and takes children that ranges in age from 6 weeks to 5 years old.
