Proposal for Camp Sunrise

Plans for Sunrise Camp: an All Access Adventure Camp especially for families with members that have disabling conditions. The camp will be open to all.

I am Corporate Chairman of The TSETSE Gallery Inc., a regional non-profit. TSETSE Gallery along with several other organizations, is making a proposal to DEEP to utilize the Sunrise Report property as an all access outdoor adventure camp open to all.

Our game plan is to be particularly focused on people with disabling conditions, especially children. We plan for staff who are knowledgeable and skilled assisting them. We are including all kinds of conditions ranging from autism to blindness to CP. Camp sunrise will be designed for them. Our goal is they can learn and have fun outdoors.

We envision Sunrise Camp working similar to a cruise ship for vacations. When families come, we plan programs for the adults and separate programs for the kids. When one of the children has special needs, they can be blended in with typical kids where practical, or in special programs when needed. At the end of each day when the family comes back together, they can share their experiences.

Given the current state of Sunrise, this is an enormous undertaking to bring it back as a functioning part of Moodus. We are committed to make this happen. If you are interested in helping us make this happen, let me know. Mark G Roberts hrmMark@gmail.com
