Haddam-Killingworth High School

Project Graduation is an all-night celebration for students held the night of graduation. This event is hosted by many high schools across the nation to provide graduates with a safe place to celebrate in a substance free environment. In the 34 years that this event has occurred at HK, there have been ZERO fatalities involving our new high school graduates on graduation night.&nbsp;The Project Graduation Committee is busy planning a fabulous celebration for our 2026 graduates, and we would love for you to be part of it - even if you do not have a student in this class.
There are many ways to help, including chaperoning or set up, take-home or in-person decorating, or by supporting a fundraiser.
We consist of a group of 9-12th grade parents and we would love to meet you! Meetings are on the second Wednesday of the month in the lower media center at 7:00 p.m.
Even if you can’t commit to every meeting, feel free to pop in to say hi. We are always welcoming new members to share their ideas and talents with us.

The Haddam Volunteer Fire Company Auxiliary will hold its Annual Military Whist Card Party on Thursday, October 15, at the new firehouse, <a href="https://www.google.com/maps/search/439+Saybrook+Road?entry=gmail&amp;source=g" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">439 Saybrook Road</a>. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., refreshments will be served at 6 p.m., and the game starts promptly at 6:30 p.m.&nbsp; Tickets are $8.00 and will be sold at the door on a first-come basis. Down the Lane Farm will host Farm Day on October 24 from 10 AM to 4 PM, welcoming the community for a fun fall day on the farm with activities, local products, and expert gardening guidance.
Guests will have the unique opportunity to learn about honey bees, taste local honey and jams, shop homegrown herbs, spices and baked goods, and sign up for classes on how to prepare and use these products. Our friends from Running Brook Farms on Route 81 in Killingworth will also be on site to share expert tips on pollinator-friendly plants, including what to grow and when to plant for a thriving garden.
Farm Day is designed as a welcoming seasonal outing for families, friends, gardeners, honey enthusiasts, and anyone looking to enjoy the sights, tastes, and traditions of fall on the farm.
Event Details: Farm Day will take place October 24 from 10 AM to 4 PM at Down the Lane Farm, 18 Reservoir Road, Killingworth.
