Higganum Man Rescues From Water Family Member Of Teen Who Went Missing In River
As the search for a missing teenager comes to an end, the story of how a member of his family was rescued has come to light.

HIGGANUM, CT - The search for a Meriden teen who went missing after jumping in the Connecticut River in Haddam to save his teenage sistercame to a close Tuesday. In the midst of this, a man who played a key role in a related rescue has come to light, as reported by Fox 61.
David Buckie of Higganum was able to rescue another family member who had jumped into the water to save both teens, according to Fox 61. Buckie had been near the river with his daughter when he noticed people yelling for help and struggling to swim. Buckie was able to swim out to the unidentified adult family member of the teens on an inner tube and pull him out of the water after he had gone under, Fox 61 reported. He then was able to get the man to a nearby boat.
