Fire Breaks Out After Tree Falls On East Haddam Home: Report
Fire officials said a blaze broke out at an East Haddam home after a tree fell onto it.

EAST HADDAM, CT — A structure fire broke out after a tree fell on a Mt. Parnassus Road home in East Haddam on Thursday, according to media reports. It is currently unclear if the tree fell due to the thunderstorms that took place that morning.
According to News 8, fire officials said crews from the East Haddam Fire Department responded to the house Thursday morning. There is currently no word if anyone was injured as a result of the incident.
According to Fox 61, Valley Shore Dispatch described the fire as "a two-alarm blaze."

Earlier Thursday morning, Eversource reported that over 800 customers in East Haddam were without power. As of 11:45 a.m., 98 customers are still without power, according to Eversource.
