Haddam Candlemaker Reaches for the Stars

, in association with The Artisan Group, was recently selected to participate in an exclusive collaborative gift bag prepared especially for Sarah Jessica Parker. Brenda Hunter, the Founder of CT River Candles, will be using her expert candle making skills to make a scented soy candle with this A-list celebrity in mind.

Brenda Hunter started CT River Candles in 2007 after moving to a home located on the Connecticut River in historic Haddam, Connecticut. The river, she said, inspired her company and its name.

All candles are hand poured and made with 100% natural soy wax in her studio. There are over fifty scents available in several jar styles including her signature CT River Inspired Mason Jar featuring Connecticut River photographs.

She also offers a Spa Candle in a finely crafted glass tumbler and a “Grab a Preserver” candle with a nautical theme. Soy candles have become very popular because they are eco-friendly, burn cleanly and provide a long lasting scent.
