Madison Art Society's "Objects and Places" Exhibition June 3-29

Featured artists from Branford, Chester, Clinton, East Haddam, Guilford, Killingworth, Madison, Old Lyme, Old Saybrook and Westbrook.

Chester, Conn., May 31, 2016 -- The Madison Art Society and the Chester Village West independent seniors community invite the public to enjoy the works of 22 Connecticut River Valley and Shoreline artists in a new exhibit titled “Objects and Places”. The exhibit will be on display at Chester Village West, 317 West Main Street, Chester, CT 06412 from June 3 to June 29.

The public is also invited to enjoy these talented artists’ works at the exhibit’s opening reception on Friday, June 3 from 5-7 p.m. at Chester Village West.

The artists participating in “Objects and Places” are members of the Madison Art Society’s Winter Studio. Artists gather each Monday from January through March at St. Andrews Church in Madison, painting from still life subjects or photographs of their preference in oil, acrylic, watercolor and pastel. The group shares setting up still life settings for artists to paint and conducts a critique at the end of the day.
