Update: Outages Persist, Roads Closed in Haddam/Killingworth

Update 7:20 p.m.: Several roads are closed in East Haddam including Route 149 at Creek Row, East Haddam Colchester Tpk in several areas, Bashan Road in the area of Trpk, Petticoat lane at Cold Springs Road, Great Hill Wood Road, River Road and Town street in the area of the high school.

Killingworth: 2,386

Haddam: 2,526

East Haddam: 1,717

Original story:Thousands are without power in Killingworth after a storm rolled through the area.

Eversource reports that 2,488 customers are without power as of 5:25 p.m., representing 87 percent of its customer base in that town.

There are 267 customers without power in East Haddam, representing five percent of the customer base.

There are 1,970 customers without power in Haddam, which is half of the customer base in town.
