Mr. Scata will give a general overview of the different transitions that students and parents face in the school system. Topics will include transitional concerns on:

  • Birth to three to preschool,
  • elementary to middle to high school
  • and transition to post secondary or post employment.

SEPTA is an offshoot of the PTA and stands for Special Education Parent Teacher Association. SEPTA sponsors workshops for parents with topics about special education with the goal of bringing parents together to create an open dialogue on concerns and issues they might be facing. SEPTA encourages parents to discuss their own experiences, both good and bad.
