A Special Place and a Special Event

A place for kids and people of all ages to learn and connect with animals.

There is an amazing place here in Connecticut that has become a second home to many volunteers and home to many horses, donkeys and other farm animals. It's an animal rescue but also much, much more.

This haven provides animal assisted therapy to those struggling with autism, Down syndrome, ADHD, post-traumatic stress disorder , depression, cancer and other difficulties. They rescue the animals, the animals help rescue the humans. The best part may be the simplest of all: the farm is free and open to the public, so anyone in need of a friend has a place to visit. ALL are welcome. This is a place for kids and people of all ages to learn and connect with animals and create wonderful memories that will last a lifetime. The place is Ray of Light Farm in East Haddam, CT.

Ray of Light Farm's biggest fundraiser of the year is this September. It's a silent and live auction. If you have gift certificates, antiques, collectibles collecting dust that you would be wiling to donate it would be appreciated.

There will be a Cigar Tent and a cash bar, and, for the kids, a Kids' Basket Bash, games, and an animal parade showing off some of the beautiful rescue horses.
