Victim Identified In Fatal East Haddam Fire: State Police
State police said the victim in a fatal East Haddam house fire has been identified.

EAST HADDAM, CT — State police said the victim in a fatal East Haddam house fire that broke out Monday has been identified. The incident occurred at 51 Ackley Cemetery Road at approximately 3:08 p.m., state police said.
State police said the deceased victim located inside the home after the fire was extinguished has been identified as 53-year-old Thomas Rasimas of East Haddam, who lived at the home where the fire broke occurred.
The fire remains under investigation, state police said.

On Monday, troopers from Troop K-Colchester and firefighters responded to the scene after receiving reports of a residential fire, state police said.

Connecticut State Police detectives from the Fire and Explosion Investigation Unit (FEIU) and Eastern District Major Crime (EDMC) also responded to the scene and are assisting with the investigation, state police said.
