Victim Identified In Fatal Killingworth House Fire: State Police

State police said they have identified the victim in a fatal Killingworth house fire.

KILLINGWORTH, CT — State police said they have identified the victim in a fatal house fire that occurred Thursday night in Killingworth. The fire remains under investigation, police said.

Police said the victim has been identified as Robert E. Hood, 90, of Killingworth, who lived at the house where the fire occurred, according to a release.

Police said the incident occurred at approximately 9:46 p.m. at 33 Bridle Path Trail. The victim was found inside the home after firefighters extinguished the fire, police said.

Firefighters, the Killingworth Fire Marshal, troopers from Troop F-Westbrook and detectives from the Connecticut State Police Fire and Explosion Investigation Unit (FEIU) all responded to the fire, state police said.
