Mike Giannattasio, former Director of Public Works in East Lyme, passed away October 31, 2012 after a brief battle with cancer. As a civil engineer, Mike dreamed of using his skill and knowledge to provide clean water for those who need it; as a believer in Jesus Christ, he desired that others would find the “living water” available through faith in Christ. Mike planned to go to Haiti with a missions team to offer practical physical, spiritual, and emotional support for the Haitian people, but sadly his life was cut short and that dream was not realized. In an effort to honor Mike’s desires and vision, the “Mike G Living Water” golf tournament was born.
