One incident occurred on July 2, and the other one following the 2018 East Lyme High School Graduating Class ceremony on June 22.

EAST LYME, CT — Two acts of vandalism are currently under investigation by East Lyme police, who are asking for the public's help in finding the culprits.
In a pair of posts on the department's Facebook page, officials describe the two incidents, one in which six boardwalk benches were thrown off the pier onto the rocks below, and the other in which someone spray-painted a pickup truck.
"The value of each bench is approximately $600 and the benches are currently being evaluated by East Lyme Parks & Recreation staff to determine if they are salvageable," wrote police. "In reviewing video surveillance footage, the incident occurred on July 2, 2018 just after midnight, and the person(s) responsible entered through the 'Hole in the Wall' entrance."
