EAST LYME, CT — A construction worker is hospitalized following an accident on Interstate 95 Thursday morning.
Eva Zymaris, a spokesperson for the Connecticut Department of Transportation, said the individual is a private construction worker.
The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration, or OSHA, is investigating the incident, according to Zymaris.
WTNH reported the worker, a 54-year-old man, was critically injured after he became trapped by concrete barriers, and emergency responders rushed him to an area hospital.
