Body Found In Wooded Area Near I-95 In East Lyme: Police
The incident is being investigated as an untimely death, according to police.

EAST LYME, CT — The state Chief Medical Examiner's Office determined the cause of death for the man who was found in a wooded area near I-95 in East Lyme as suicide, police said in an update on Wednesday.
No further information will be released for the investigation, police said.

East Lyme police, along with the Flanders Fire Department, responded around 4:40 p.m. to a report of a body found in a wooded area, according to East Lyme Police Chief Michael T. Finkelstein.
Finkelstein said a man’s body was found approximately a tenth of a mile off of the Exit 71 Southbound area of -I95 and Four Mile River Road.

“At this time, this is being investigated as an untimely death, with no criminal aspect, by the East Lyme Police Detective Division,” Finkelstein said in a news release.
The body will be taken to the Office of the Chief Medical examiner for a determination of the cause and manner of death, according to Finkelstein.
East Lyme police were assisted at the scene by Connecticut State Police Troop F, the Old Lyme Police and Fire departments, and the New London State’s Attorney’s Office.
