Child and Adult Orthodontics Welcomes Chris Murphy DMD!

Child and Adult Orthodontics is excited to announce that Chris Murphy, DMD has joined the group!  Born and raised in New England, Dr. Murphy is excited to be practicing orthodontics as a member of Child and Adult Orthodontics.   

Orthodontics is Dr. Murphy’s passion!  He considers himself fortunate to be in a position that enables him improve the lives of the patient’s he treats by helping them maintain their oral health and obtain the smile they’ve always dreamt of.  Dr. Murphy recognizes that each patient is unique and has very specific treatment needs.   As an orthodontist his aim is to provide his patient’s with individualized, efficient and evidence based treatment options tailored to meet those needs.

Education and Experience: 
Dr. Murphy graduated magna cum laude with a BS in biology from Providence College in 2004. Following research done at the Brown University Medical School and the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine he attended the University of Connecticut to study dental medicine. He received his DMD from the University of Connecticut in 2010, and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Society.  Dr. Murphy continued his specialty training in orthodontics at the University of Connecticut where he completed his Master’s of Dental Science degree in 2013.

Outside the Office
When Dr. Murphy isn’t in the office he loves being outside regardless of the weather.  Dr Murphy loves living in New England and enjoying all that it has to offer. An avid surfer, snowboarder and hiker Dr. Murphy loves chasing swells up and down the New England coastline, hiking through the Appalachians and snowboarding once the snow starts falling.
