Costco Reaches New Decision On Plan For East Lyme Store: Report

Last fall, the company pulled out of a plan to build a store at Gateway Commons.

EAST LYME, CT — Costco has decided to reverse course and pursue building a store at Gateway Commons in East Lyme, less than a year after the company halted plans for such a move in the same location, writes NBC Connecticut.

An application for a site plan modification for the store will be discussed by the East Lyme Zoning Commission on Aug. 2, and if approved the company hopes to start construction as early as September.

Located off exit 74 on I-95, the new store would be Costco's only one in New London County, and only its second in New Haven County after Milford.
