CT Shore Native Appointed Executive Director of Crescent Point
Accomplished Healthcare Administrator to Continue Communities Mission of Elevating Human Connection

Jessica Colangelo has spent her entire life on the Connecticut shoreline and was attracted to healthcare because she wanted to improve the aging experience for seniors. Now, after nearly a decade as an administrator for local skilled nursing facilities, Benchmark (www.benchmarkseniorliving.com), a human connection company and leading provider of senior living services in the Northeast, today announced she’s been appointed executive director for their assisted living community in Niantic, Conn., Crescent Point at Niantic. Colangelo replaces Shaun Mastroianni who was promoted to lead Benchmark’s Capitol Ridge at Providence community in Providence, R.I.
“Benchmark has continued to demonstrate their innovative approach to healthcare and to senior living and I look forward to being part of that,” says Colangelo. I am excited to direct a different side of healthcare and provide the experiences that will help our residents thrive.”
Colangelo has served as an administrator for Autumn Lake Healthcare in Cromwell, and Orange Healthcare in Orange and an assistant administrator at Gladeview Health Care Center in Old Saybrook. She graduated with a B.S. in health policy and management from Providence College, received a certificate in long term care administration from the University of Connecticut and earned an MBA in business administration and management from the University of New Haven.
