NIANTIC, CT — The death of a local man who fell at a concert in New York City in June has been ruled an accident.

Paul Kueker, 51, of Niantic, fell from the upper deck at Madison Square Garden during a Goose concert on June 20.

Kueker’s cause of death was due to multiple blunt traumatic injuries, the New York City Office of Chief Medical Examiner said Monday.

The manner of death was determined to be an accident.

Kueker was married and had two children. According to LinkedIn, he had worked as senior director of operations at Smartcon.

A GoFundMe campaign, “In Loving Memory of Paul Kueker,” has been raising money to help his family.

As of Aug. 17, it had raised $85,650 toward a goal of $100,000.

Kloe Kueker, his daughter and the campaign organizer, described him in the campaign as a “loving father, family man, and friend whose presence brought warmth and laughter wherever he went.”

According to the family, money raised through the campaign has been used to offset funeral and memorial costs, and to help “relieve some of the financial burden during this difficult time.”
