East Lyme Man, 38, Charged In Connection With Child Abuse Case: Police
East Lyme police arrested David Martin on a Superior Court warrant charging him with risk of injury to a child in connection with June case.

EAST LYME, CT — A 38-year-old East Lyme man has been charged in connection with a June child abuse case, according to police.
East Lyme Police Chief Michael Finkelstein said that Friday, officers arrested David Martin on a Superior Court warrant. He said the warrant stems from the continued investigation into child abuse that resulted in the June 7 arrest of Katie Nichols. Finkelstein said that the police investigation revealed that on several occasions Martin was present during incidents in which a child was abused by Nichols, and failed to intervene.
Martin, charged with risk of injury to a child, was released on a $50,000 court-set bond. He's due in court in New London Monday.
