East Lyme PD Issue Pair Of Scam Warnings To Residents
Police officials warn residents to avoid a Netflix scam, and to be careful what you post social media.

EAST LYME, CT — East Lyme police are warning residents of a pair of scams that have hit Connecticut residents in recent months.
In two postings on the department's Facebook page, officials urge people to be on the lookout for a Netflix "phishing scam" (where thieves try to obtain personal information through a fake Netflix account page), and also to be careful about what you post on social media. A couple was recently arrested by Glastonbury police after they allegedly used social media to determine where to steal.
