East Lyme Police Charge Pair With Robbing Drug Dealer
The arrests stem from an incident in December, according to police.
EAST LYME, CT — Two area residents are accused of robbing a drug dealer at gunpoint, stealing both drugs and money, according to police.
On Tuesday, police charged two people on a warrant for the December incident.
Anthony Sharples, 21, of Waterford, and Destinee Booker, 20, of New London, were charged with two counts of first-degree robbery.

Booker was also charged with breach of peace and reckless endangerment.
According to police, East Lyme officers on Dec. 14, 2025, responded to a report of a road rage incident where the offender brandished a firearm.

With help from Waterford police, the offender and his female partner were stopped, and an arrest was made for firearms-related offenses, police said.
East Lyme officers continued an investigation into what transpired. They conducted interviews and firearms analysis and executed several search warrants, according to police.
Police said they learned Sharples and Booker planned to meet an individual under the pretense of purchasing narcotics.
“Booker and Sharples used the firearm while taking drugs and money from the dealer,” police said.
Sharples was held on a $375,000 bond, and Booker was held on a $250,000 bond, pending their initial court appearance. Both are next due in Superior Court in New London on April 14.
