Flanders Fire Dept. Trains in Chimney Fire, Roof Saw Operations
Just in time for colder weather, Flanders firefighters held a training session on chimney fire and safety.

Last Tuesday night, the Flanders Fire Dept. had their monthly training.
This month’s Training was on Chimney fires and Roof Saw Operations. Members learned the proper SOG’s (Standard Operating Guidelines) for handling and extinguishing Chimney Fires.

Also, members were given the opportunity to learn safety techniques on roof top operations, as well as hands on cutting and placement of vent holes with the roof saws. (you will notice there is No Roof ladder, only because the training roof was not long enough to fit it).
