Joint Police Force Could Be In The Works For East Lyme, Old Lyme

East Lyme and Old Lyme officials have been discussing the possibility of creating a joint police force.

EAST LYME, CT - East Lyme and Old Lyme officials have been discussing the possibility of creating a joint police force, the New London Day reported. The force would serve both towns and serve as a potential model for other communities.

Old Lyme is currently a resident state trooper town, the New London Day reported. East Lyme recently established an independent police department, currently comprised of 23 full-time police officers and one part-time police officer.
