Local Roads to be Impacted by Niantic Bay Triathlon

August 7: Annual triathlon event hosted by Hartford Marathon Foundation

Glastonbury, CT – The Hartford Marathon Foundation will produce the Niantic Bay Triathlon on Sunday, August 7, in the communities of Niantic and East Lyme. With approximately 550 athletes expected to participate in the swim, bike and run events, please be aware of traffic impact and limited road closures affecting the area from 7:30 am until 10:00 am.

The following will be closed to all vehicles from 7:30 am until 10:00 am:

· Columbus Avenue

The following will remain open for use by vehicles and race participants from 7:30 am until 9:30 am. Please expect minor delays and use caution:

· Haigh Ave

· Crescent Ave

· Prospect Ave

· Dean Rd

· Society Rd

· Riverview Rd

· Roxbury Rd

The Hartford Marathon Foundation makes every effort to minimize the impact of the race on local roads and neighborhoods while bringing participants in to enjoy the Niantic community. Please seek alternate routes during the race if impacted. A detailed course map is also available here.
