Man Arrested For Operating Moped With Suspended License: East Lyme Police

East Lyme police said a man was arrested for operating a moped with a suspended license.

EAST LYME, CT - Police said a man was arrested Friday for operating a moped with a suspended license. The suspect had been issued a misdemeanor summons the day before on charges of operating the same moped under suspension.

Police said officers spotted Kevin B. Patel, 24, riding on Main Street before stopping him in the area Hope Street and Joyce Court. He was arrested and transported to the Waterford Police Department, police said. (To sign up for the Lymes breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

The suspect is scheduled to appear in court July 21, police said.
