Man In Woods Overnight Without Coat, Shoes Found By K9, Unharmed

A 21-year-old went into the woods at 1 a.m. wearing nothing but a shirt and sweatpants. Troopers searched all night and K9 Kato found him.

OLD LYME, CT — A 21-year-old man walked into a dense patch of Old Lyme woods at 1 a.m. on the night of Jan. 2, in near freezing temperatures wearing just a shirt and sweatpants and without shoes. An overnight search was conducted by Connecticut State Police Search and Rescue K9s.

It would be K9 Kato who tracked and located the physically unharmed man and police brought him out of the woods to safety.

Good dog, Kato.
