Old Lyme Man Charged With Pointing Gun At Driver: Police

A man is facing charges that he pointed a gun at a driver on I-95.

OLD LYME, CT — An Old Lyme man was charged on accusations that he pointed a gun at another driver, according to state police. Noah Jones, 55, of 9 Blackwell Road, was charged with first-degree threatening, first-degree reckless endangerment, and second-degree breach of peace.

Police received a call from a driver at 4:02 p.m. Monday who stated that a man driving a tan Dodge Ram 1500 with a Maine license plate pointed a black handgun at her from inside his truck as he passed her in the left lane on I-95 in Old Lyme.

Police said they located the truck by Exit 66 on I-95. The troopers performed a "box in" maneuver to stop the pickup truck.

Police found an empty pistol holster on Jones's waistband. Jones admitted that there was a Glock tucked under the rear seat, which was within reach from the driver's seat, according to police.

Jones was released on $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court Dec. 7.
