Experience life during our country’s fight for independence from 10:00AM – 3:00PM on Saturday, September 11th at East Lyme’s historic Samuel Smith Farmstead, located at 82 Plants Dam Road.

The 5th Connecticut Regiment Continental Line will demonstrate Colonial activities such as weapon demonstrations and musket firing, army drills, food preservation and butter making. The House and Barn will be open to visitors for accompanied guided tours.

The following Demonstrations will run throughout the morning in their respective areas. Textiles and Dyeing cloth, Cooking and food preservation, Butter churning, Embroidery and stitch work, Carpentry and cooper. Demonstrations subject to change.

11:00AM Continental Soldiers drills & Musket firing (Main Demo Area)
