Just in case you have not marked your calendars, school begins Aug 28 in EL/Niantic. Some of you may have already started the countdown and others may be grasping tightly to those last few days that are left, but ready or not it's coming! The fall schedule is already filling up fast in our house with work, school, kids activities, sports, BOE Meetings, PTA Meetings and the list goes on. I know so many of you are in the same boat w variations. Our "Plan of Attack" is organization, consistency & communication (I should say My Plan of Attack:) In addition, enjoy each and every moment because they are only this age once.
As we all prepare for the first day a reminder that Tax Free Week started yesterday. It runs from Aug 18th through the 24th.... (clothing & footwear). Purchases up to $300 carry no sales tax. According to a survey done by the National Retail Federation, families with children that will be attending school this fall, plan to spend an average of $634.78. I how ever do not plan to spend that but I do plan to "Spend Local" as much as I can.
