Belsito Maintains Positions on Pair of Key Legislative Committees

HARTFORD/TOLLAND, CT — State Rep. Sam Belsito will continue to serve on two influential legislative committees.

The Democrat on Wednesday began his second full term serving the 53rd General Assembly District, which covers Ashford, Willington, and part of Tolland.

His committee assignments are:

• Appropriations
• Education
• Planning and Development

“I am excited to return to Hartford and to get back to work on behalf of my constituents,” said Belsito said. “The governor and the majority party Democrats in the House need to work with Republicans this session to implement long-term structural change to the way the General Assembly budgets. We can no longer play party politics with the state of Connecticut.”
