Birch Grove Meet-and-Greet Sessions Slated

Several meet-and-greet sessions have been planned for Birch Grove Primary School.

The Grade 1 open houses are slated for Tuesday, Aug. 27. First-graders will gather from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Second-graders will meet between the hours of 1:30 and 2:30 p.m. 

The sessions are designed to be an opportunity for teachers and children to put names and faces together, school officials said.

In an attempt to make the first day of school "as pleasant an experience as possible" for kindergartners, a short orientation has been scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 22. A school bus will pick parents and children up.

Morning kindergarten students and parents will be picked up between 8:10 and 8:50 a.m., arriving at Birch Grove at approximately 9:10 a.m. Loading to go home will commence at approximately 9:40 a.m.

Afternoon students and parents will be picked up between 10:10and 10:50 a.m., arriving at Birch Grove at approximately 11:10 a.m. Loading to go home will begin at approximately 11:40 a.m.
