TOLLAND, CT β€” A car that ran a stop sign wound up getting the worst of a crash in Tolland last week, state police said.

According to a state police crash report, at 8:45 p.m. on Sept. 2, a 2011 Jeep Wrangler being driven by a 17-year-old male from Hartford was heading south on Route 30 and approached the intersection of Browns Bridge Road.

A 2009 Nissan Altima with a 33-year-old East Hartford man behind the wheel ran the stop sign and then rammed into the Jeep, according to a crash report. It then bounced off the Jeep and hit a tree on the Hunter Road side of the intersection, according to a crash report.

The driver and passenger of the Nissan were taken to Hartford Hospital for evaluation, state police said. The driver of the Jeep was unhurt, according to a crash report.
