Following this discussion was a unanimous approval to establish a Road Salt Task Force. This Task Force will consist of two Town Council Members (Councilwoman Murray and Councilwoman Nuccio), Town Manager Brian Foley, the town’s head of Administrative Services Mike Wilkinson and the Town Attorney Rick Conti. They will work to review and disseminate information regarding the impact of road salt on residential well water and provide recommendations to the council.
The second new item of business was unanimously approving a Recreation Coordinator Job Position. This 24-hour, part-time position was approved in the last town budget for fiscal year 2023 to further assist the head of the Recreation Department with the creation and management of programming as well as managing seasonal staff.
