Chair Report: June 29th Special Joint Meeting Review
Discussions held regarding sidewalk study reach general consensus. Council unanimously approves funding for Wanat Park Phase III.

Good Morning and Happy 4th of July Weekend Tolland! From the Council Chair, providing a review of our special joint meeting held on June 29th.
On Wednesday, June 29th, the Town Council met with the Commission on People with Disabilities and the Historic District Commission to discuss the results of a walkway study conducted to establish ADA accessible and compliant walkways around the Tolland Green. After receiving input and answers from members of each commission as well as town staff and the landscape architect commissioned for the study, there was a general desire from all parties to gather further information and estimates on resetting the existing stones along the walkways and repairing/replacing others as needed.
Following this discussion, the council unanimously passed a resolution to transfer $3,750 from the Town Contingency Fiscal Year 2021-2022 account to the Wanat donations account to assist with phase three of the Wanat Senior Park/Conservation Area Phase III project. Included in this phase is an ADA accessible bridge and stone dust path to a silo on the property.
