Middle school students completed community-focused projects Monday morning as part of the community blocks program.
Students at learned the importance of community service Monday morning during the school's second community block, a school-wide program dedicted to giving back.
TMS Principal Walter Willett explained that each homeroom came up with and completed a community-focused project. The program, which is new this year, encourages the students to engage and help outside of school.
"The objective is to give the kids an opportunity to connect with the community and instill in them the sense to serve in the community," Willett said.
