Engine Falls Out Of Car During Tolland Crash

TOLLAND, CT — The engine was separated from a car that went off a section of Route 30 on Tuesday night, fire department officials said.

The crash along the 500 block of Crystal Lake Road — the local address for that section of Route 30 — was reported at about 9 p.m.

The car was about 100 feet off the road and the engine was located another 50 feet from the car after the crash, according to fire officials.

One person was transported to a local hosptial and Route 30 closed for a short period as crews recovered the vehicle.
