Lucy Anne Hurston, Niece of Zora Neale Hurston, Talk At Library Rescheduled

A talk Wednesday, Jan. 26 at the Tolland Public Library by Lucy Anne Hurston, niece of famed Harlem Renaissance writer Zora Neale Hurston, has been postponed due to an impending storm.

Hurston, an associate professor of sociology at Manchester Community College, will now speak at the library Feb. 23 at 7:30 p.m.

Registration is required and can be made by calling the library at 860-871-3620 or by e-mailing Library Director Barbara Butler at bbutler@tolland.org. Those signed up for Jan. 26 will remain on the list for Feb. 23 unless they ask to be removed.

 Hurston is the second speaker in the Eaton-Dimock-King Authors Series, which is being sponsored by the library, the Tolland Public Library Foundation and the Phoebe Dimock King and Elizabeth C. King Eaton Endowment.
