Basic First Aid: Adult-Child
This course teaches people the knowledge and skills needed to recognize emergencies. The general principles cover liability and responsibility, definition of first aid and the contents of a First Aid Kit. Rescuer safety and assessment are also covered. The medical section covers choking and bad allergic reactions, shock, fainting, diabetes, stroke, heart attack, and seizures. The section on injuries covers bleeding, head injuries, punctures, lacerations, and injuries to bones, joints, and muscles. There are multiple skills and short quizzes. A two or three year certification card will be issued upon successful completion.
