Laura Ann Weekes, founder of the "From The Heart" organization, will be at the library to conduct a lesson on crocheting and knitting. The lesson begins at 10:15 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 22, in the Library Program Room.
Attendees will help make blankets to donate to youth in foster care. For many years, Weekes has worked to assist underprivileged children in Connecticut by collecting and donating various items to the Department of Children and Families (DCF), Dare Family Services and individual families who are in need.
