Tolland author Jane Sutcliffe will talk about her first picture book, "Leonardo's Monster," on Saturday, Oct. 30 at the Tolland Public Library. As a teenager, Leonardo da Vinci is rumored to have painted a monster at his father's request. The monster was so lifelike that his father nearly fainted from fright upon seeing it. Sutcliffe's picture book for young readers tells this remarkable story from the life of a pretty unusual boy. Following her presentation in the library's program room, children will have a chance to draw their own scary monster.
Suggested age for the program: 5 and up
