Fire Department Calls Up In Tolland For The Past Month

TOLLAND, CT — Fire department calls in Tolland were up slightly for September and up more than 100 from the same point a year ago.

Here is the breakdown for September:

• Fire — 20
• Medical — 163
• Haz-Mat — 9
• Motor Vehicle Crashes — 4
• Service Calls — 14
• Interstate 84 — 5

The total number of calls is up eight from September 2021.

The year-to-date calls total 1,845, up 108 from the same point a year ago, fire officials said.

Mutual aid calls totaled 16 for September and now total 395 for the year, fire officials said.
