Hundreds Expected to Attend Funeral for Tolland Public Works Employee

Hundreds are expected to attend the funeral service for David Ridzon, who died in a tragic accident last week while fixing potholes in town.

A funeral procession will depart Potter Funeral Home at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 for a memorial service to be held at the United Congregational Church in Tolland CT, at 10:00 a.m.

Delays should be expected between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. in the area, according to Tolland Alert.

Some roads may be closed to allow the procession.

Tolland Town Hall offices will be closed Wednesday March 25 from 9 a.m. to noon for public business to allow employees to attend the funeral of public works employee David Ridzon.

Tolland Public Works will be closed the entire day and surrounding towns have agreed to be on call for emergency service.
