Letter Endorsing Colleen Yudichak for Town Council

I am writing this letter in support of Colleen Yudichak's re-election to the Tolland Town Council. Colleen is a strong candidate who possesses the kind of experience and character that the town needs in its leadership.

I have known Colleen for about 10 years. I initially met Colleen through my job as a riding instructor as her daughter had begun taking lessons with me. However, our connection increased when we both were elected to the Board of Education in Tolland. In the 4 years that I served on the Board with Colleen, I found her to be a truly thoughtful and bipartisan member of the Board. Colleen is one of those rare gems who has dedicated herself to public service because she truly cares about the well-being of the citizens of our town. She possesses the capacity to listen to all sides of an issue and respond in a thoughtful manner, without being unduly influenced by a polarizing political agenda.

Most recently, Colleen has been serving on the Tolland Town Council. Among her many accomplishments, she has successfully helped the town to hire a new Town Manager and she has worked on relieving taxpayer capital debt by investing ARPA funds. Colleen has also helped to support the needs of our community by supporting changes to Ordinance 60 which allowed our town to simplify a tax break program for seniors and disabled residents. Colleen is also a member of the Mental Health Task Force, and serves as a liaison for the Commission on People with Disabilities and Recreation Advisory Board.

I have great respect for Colleen outside of her position as a Town Counselor as well. She is a dedicated wife and mother, as well as the kind of friend that can always be relied upon. Her kindness is apparent to anyone who meets her and she is always happy to help anyone in need.

In short, I highly recommend that you join me in voting for Colleen Yudichak for Tolland Town Council. Her strength of character, combined with her experience and knowledge of the town's needs, make her an excellent candidate.
