Letter: Support Tim Ackert for Re-Election

To the Editor:

We must re-elect Tim Ackert State Representative for the 8th District. Tim has served Coventry, Columbia, Tolland and Vernon well for six years.

Connecticut is at a crossroads. Our State budget is a mess.

Companies and wealthy individuals are leaving the state.

Tim will fight to bring common sense to our deep financial problems. Paying some companies to stay in Connecticut, as the current administration is doing, will only encourage more companies to demand ransom from the state. Tim will fight to improve the business climate for all and make Connecticut a place where businesses want to come to and to grow in.

Tim recognizes that Connecticut’s strengths are its people. We have a strong, talented, educated work force. The State’s decades of tax-and-spend policies are what is forcing companies to leave and go where they will be appreciated and nurtured – not pumped for how much tax revenues they can generate to pay for politicians’ pet projects.

Tim knows that companies and people will prosper in a state that controls spending, reduces and manages the tax burden and streamlines regulations.

Send Tim back to Hartford so he can continue to fight for us and a better Connecticut.
